Packages Include:

  • 24 hour accessibility to funeral director and staff

  • Transportation of your loved one from the place of death by licensed funeral home staff

  • Transportation of your loved one to Mount Auburn Crematory. We transfer one individual at a time, maintaining a high level of dignity for your loved one

  • Alternative container as required by the crematory

  • Preparation of all necessary legal documents and permits

  • Filing death certificate

  • Social Security notification

  • Personalized tribute page (if desired) on our DeVito Funeral Home website

  • Assistance with drafting a death notice

  • Assistance with placing a paid death notice in a newspaper of your choosing

  • Reasonably priced urns are available for purchase

  • Delivery to family within seven days

Our charge for a direct cremation (without ceremony) or any attendant rites or ceremonies includes: basic services of funeral director and staff, a proportionate share of overhead costs, local removal of remains and transportation to crematory. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboards or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The alternative containers we use are wood and fiberboard.

*The state medical examiner approval fee ($200) and crematory fee ($435) is not included, and added at checkout.

At Mount Auburn Cremation Plan, we also offer Pre-Planning. The first step is to gather some information. We will be using the following information to complete and file a death certificate. One thing to think about is how many certified copies of the death certificates you will need.
